Galactomune Powder

Galactooligosaccharides favorably shift the balance of gut microbiota towards more beneficial species. Beta-glucan enhances innate immunity and supports healthy immune responses. Together, they augment body defenses, modulate immune responses, and support adaptive immune function. Galactomune® is a viable alternative to chicory-derived inulin-type fructans. It is a good choice of prebiotic for all age groups.

Galactomune Features:

  • Promotes a healthy and balanced microbiota: A diverse population of probiotic bacteria colonizes the gastrointestinal tract and plays an important role in health and immune function. By serving as a food and energy source for these beneficial bacteria, prebiotics support the growth and activity of a healthy intestinal microbiota. Galactomune® provides a rich source of galactooligosaccharides (GOS), a type of prebiotic found in human and cow milk that has been shown to support growth of healthful Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus species in the gut.
  • Supports healthy intestinal bacterial balance: Healthful intestinal bacteria ferment prebiotics, such as GOS into short-chain fatty acids. These short-chain fatty acids beneficially increase intestinal acidity (lower pH), which helps to create an inhospitable environment for unfavorable bacteria. Beta-glucan may additionally support a healthy immune response to a wide spectrum of bacteria and yeast.
  • Supports a healthy immune response: By promoting a healthy balance of intestinal microbiota, prebiotics support the development and maintenance of a healthy immune system. GOS and beta-glucan, a soluble fiber with prebiotic activity, have also demonstrated immune supportive properties.† Both ingredients support the body’s innate immune response and adaptive function to unfavorable environmental stimuli and bacteria.
