Mitochondrial Formula has a comprehensive combination of nutrients designed to support mitochondrial function by assisting ATP production, and to provide antioxidant activity for cellular health.

Mitochondria are the energy powerhouses of the cell, consuming 80–90% of a cell’s oxygen to produce ATP via the oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) process. Healthy mitochondria are vital to cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurological health, in addition to healthy aging. Acetyl-L-carnitine shuttles fatty acids across the mitochondrial membrane, essential for generating energy via fatty acid metabolism. It may also support the occasional relief of stress-induced fatigue and help maintain cardiovascular and neurological health.

The antioxidant CoQ10 is a component of the mitochondrial respiratory chain and an essential cofactor in the electron transport system. CoQ10 may also help maintain cardiovascular and neurological health.

ElevATP® is a blend of plant bio-inorganic trace minerals and an apple extract rich in polyphenols such as procyanidins and chlorogenic acid. It may help support ATP levels. It may also support healthy muscle conditioning.

Given that mitochondria are the primary source of free radical production within a cell, the bioavailable Opitac L-glutathione and superoxide dismutase (from Extramel®) provide antioxidant activity, which is vital for cellular health.
