Ther-Biotic Metabolic Formula

Ther-Biotic^® Metabolic Formula is a blend of 7 select probiotic species in a cellulose base. Designed to increase intestinal diversity and support healthy metabolism and weight management, each capsule provides 25 billion CFU. 

This formula is designed for daily use as part of a nutritional weight management program to reinforce and sustain a healthy balance of gut microbiota. Reduced microbiota diversity and diminished populations of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus may aff ect the body’s weight and glucose metabolism. Ther-Biotic® Metabolic Formula provides high numbers of 4 Lactobacillus and 3 Bifidobacterium species that may play a beneficial role in balancing energy extraction from the diet, producing bioactive substances that support healthy carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, sustaining gut barrier function, and modulating immune function.

Ther-Biotic Metabolic Formula Features:

• Helps energy extraction from foods: Evolving research shows that probiotic supplementation may support maintenance of a healthy weight and glucose homeostasis, when taken in conjunction with a healthy diet, by helping balance the gut microbiota. It has long been known that the gut microbiota extracts energy from dietary substances such as fiber that are indigestible by the host. The substantial amounts of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species in this formula support microbiota diversity and a healthy balance of microorganisms in the digestive tract.
• Produces conjugated linoleic acid: Probiotic species, such as Lactobacillus rhamnosus, have been shown to synthesize and secrete conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). CLA is a naturally occurring fatty acid that has unique eff ects on fat metabolism. Studies demonstrate it exerts a favorable effect on the way the body burns and stores fat. CLA may provide benefit by decreasing adipocyte size, increasing adipocyte apoptosis, decreasing lipogenesis, and/or increasing fatty acid oxidation. In addition, the CLA produced by probiotics may also beneficially support healthy glucose metabolism. Ther-Biotic® Metabolic Formula provides a variety of probiotic species that promote CLA production within the intestinal tract.
• Supports healthy cytokine and immune function: One of the likeliest mechanisms by which bifidobacteria and lactobacilli support weight management is by directly binding lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in the gut lumen. The 7 probiotic species in Ther-Biotic® Metabolic Formula work together to help modulate cytokine balance within the gut and also provide additional benefit by sustaining normal gut barrier function and normal microbiota balance.
